Important Update:
We are still on for Sunday, August 4th, but we’re scheduling a make-up date incase of weather or Junior Legion victories mounting!
Congratulations to the Junior Legion Team!
First and foremost, a huge congratulations to the Cavs for winning the Substate championship! It's a tremendous honor for our city to be represented in the state tournament. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance. Let’s cheer them on as they compete for the state title!
Why would we change the date?
When we originally scheduled the North Star Wiffle Ball Tournament, we were not aware that the Junior Legion State Championship would be on the same day. Many of our players who are 16+ are also key members of the Junior Legion team, and we want to support their journey to the finals. We’ll know on Saturday, but if the team does make it, we’ll reschedule the North Star Wiffle Ball Tournament to Labor Day.
What Happens Next?
If the Junior Legion team advances to the finals on Sunday, we will reschedule the Wiffle Ball Tournament to Monday, Labor Day, September 2nd. This will allow our players to compete in both events and ensures that everyone can participate in the Wiffle Ball Tournament.
Potential New Tournament Date and Schedule
If we need to reschedule due to the Championship, or for any other reason. The expected make up will be on Monday, Labor Day, September 2nd. To accommodate the new date and the fact that players will be returning to school the following day, we will have a modified schedule.
Details on the revised schedule will be shared soon.
Make-up Date: Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day)
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Let’s make this year’s tournament and the Junior Legion team’s journey to the finals an unforgettable experience!
